Psionics

Psionics are the exceptionally rare gift in humans to manipulate matter with their minds, interact with other intelligences by thought, and perceive spacetime in a unique manner. All psions, no matter how latent or underdeveloped their powers, can detect the presence of one another in close proximity due to the emission of special particles simply dubbed PSI particles. However, latent psionics are much more common at roughly 1 in 20 million.

Awakened Psions

Individuals who are capable of exerting any degree of control over their power.
Extremely rare - Approximatelty 1 in 1 billion humans are awakened psions.
Awakened psions all have the ability to understand their exact location in the universe.
Awakened psions are able to increase their power through intense training, controlled exposure to certain types of radiation, and through mental domination and assimilation of weaker psions.

Latent Psions

Individuals who are not capable of exerting any degree of control over their power.
Much more common than awakened psions, but are still very rare. Approximately 1 in 20 million humans are latent psions.
Latent Psions may become Awakened Psions during a process known as an 'Awakening'.

Documented Psionic Powers

Telekinesis - The ability to manipulate space and matter. It can range from moving objects to creating complex gravitational and electromagnetic fields. Telekinetic abilities can modify the properties of matter, combine or disperse matter at the atomic and subatomic level to seemingly create or destroy new matter, and create or destroy energy in a similar manner. There are dozens of sub-schools of telekinesis and is among the most iconic powers of psionics.
Chronokinesis - The ability to manipulate spacetime. Chronokinesis is much rarer than telekinesis and usually only manifests in extremely powerful psions. Chronokinetics can create spacetime zones where time behaves outside of normal causality. They can also restore causality to any objects in violation of it with a power called Paradoxism.
Telepathy - The ability to communicate with individuals with only their mind. It also includes the ability to influence and control other minds. Non-psions are unable to speak or hear telepathy in most circumstances, but exceptionally talented telepaths can insert thoughts into non-psions to effectively achieve the same end.
Extrasensory Perception - The ability for psions to perceieve themselves or other things in the universe with exact accuracy. Powerful psions are able to locate almost anything or anyone in real time.
Superluminal Speed - Extremely powerful psions are able to create alcubierre fields or teleport short distances. The most powerful psions in existence were able to teleport lightyears at a time.
Regeneration - Tissue regeneration is a potent form of telekinesis that can create cellular growth in biological entities. The most powerful psions, those generally at or above a PSI rating of 5000, are able to rapidly regenerate tissue to the point where they may be considered truly immortal.

PSI Rating

All psions emit PSI particles, an da PSI Rating is a measure of emissions per second. While PSI Rating is not a direct measurement of a psion's capabilities, it is a correlative measurement that broadly seems to correspond to the psion's potential. Most psions ranged between 25 - 150 PSI rating. Beings over 1000 were rare enough to consist of only a handful of individuals.

Less than 25 : Generally considered Latent.
25 - 75: Considered to be 'average'.
75 - 150: Considered to be 'above average'
150 - 300: Considered to be 'potent'
300-500: Considered to be 'exceptionally potent'
500 - 1000: Considered to be 'near godlike'
> 1000: Considered to be 'godlike'.
