Biography
Leena moved to Asheville over the summer of 2001 from Japan. Her father is a recently retired Admiral, formerly in charge of the Naval Activity in Japan, now settled back into his hometown to which Leena has never even seen. The youngest of four brothers, Leena is the only girl in the family and the only child still living with her parents. She’s a delinquent, always in trouble for something much to her father’s chagrin. He wants her to enlist in the Navy to figure herself out, but she already knows what she wants to do - build cars and race them. Uninterested in most of her classes, she attends v-school for automotive repair and frequently street races, bringing her exotic Japanese drifting skills to the forefront of any battle.
Leena was initially uninterested in street racing, having raced as a kid in multiple kart leagues in Japan where the competition was extremely fierce, the rules were brutal, and the creative expression was not allowed. It wasn't until she got into her first battle in Japan in her Legacy RS that she caught the bug. Once she moved to America, she wanted to focus more on building cars and learning mechanics - but quickly changed her mind after meeting Dan Westen.
