Junior Science Officers

JSOs usually work underneath an ISO as part of their staff.

• S-1 - Technician Junior Grade
• S-2 - Technician Senior Grade

• S-4 - Lead Researcher

Independent Science Officers

ISOs generally lead their own science teams and pursue their own projects independently. They may receive direction from DSOs when part of larger projects.

Directorate Science Officers

DSOs generally administer science teams under their purview, verify and dissiminate their findings, and pass tasking down from higher authorities.
